Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or accessing any ReviseOnline website, app, or service (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
1. About ReviseOnline
ReviseOnline Pty Ltd (ACN 605 449 134) (“ReviseOnline”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates an educational technology platform offering curriculum-aligned study resources, assessments, analytics, and support services for schools, teachers, and students across Australia and internationally. Our products include ASSESSED, PREPED, SHARPENED, CALCED, SELECTED, CONNECTED, and school analytics dashboards.
2. Scope and application
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including students, teachers, school administrators, and individual purchasers. By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have consent from a parent, guardian, or school representative.
3. Definitions
Account: a user profile created to access the Platform.
Australian Consumer Law (ACL): Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Confidential Information: non-public information relating to ReviseOnline’s business, systems, data, or content.
Content: all materials available on or through the Platform, including Course Materials, questions, analytics, and videos.
Course Materials: educational resources and assessments provided by ReviseOnline.
Institution: a school or organisation that manages user access or licences.
Personal Information: as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Services: the Platform and related support functions.
Third-Party Processors: trusted service providers engaged by ReviseOnline to deliver Platform functionality such as hosting, authentication, onboarding, analytics, payments, communications, and technical support. These providers operate under confidentiality, security, and privacy obligations but are not publicly disclosed to protect ReviseOnline’s commercial interests.
4. Subscriptions, prices and payment
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST, unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed securely via approved payment gateways. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
Schools may purchase via invoice by prior arrangement.
Foreign transaction or bank fees are the responsibility of the payer.
Tax invoices can be issued on request or accessed through your account.
Except as required under the ACL, subscription fees are non-refundable once access is granted.
5. Access term
Individual access is valid until 31 December in the purchase year, unless otherwise specified.
School subscriptions run for the term specified in the institutional agreement.
We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Platform responsibly and lawfully. You must not:
- Share, resell, or reproduce any content outside permitted use.
- Bulk download, copy, or distribute Course Materials.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringing material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access or bypass security.
- Use automated bots, scraping tools, or any technology to extract data without permission.
- Breach intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
7. Third-Party services and onboarding
ReviseOnline integrates with secure, trusted third-party service providers to enable functions such as user onboarding, authentication, payments, analytics, communications, and technical support. These providers operate under confidentiality, security, and privacy obligations consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. ReviseOnline remains responsible for ensuring that these processors meet appropriate data-protection and security standards.
8. Intellectual property
All Platform content is the intellectual property of ReviseOnline or its licensors.
You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for personal study or school-related educational use.
You may not copy, adapt, or distribute any content without written permission.
9. User-generated content (UGC)
If you submit, upload or contribute materials (UGC), such as questions, answers, explanations, ratings, or comments, you grant ReviseOnline a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display that UGC in connection with the Platform and our business. This license is limited to educational, operational, and promotional purposes and does not transfer ownership of your original work.
All UGC is subject to moderation and may be reviewed or removed if it breaches these Terms or applicable laws.
10. Privacy
ReviseOnline collects, stores and processes Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights. By using the Platform, you consent to such processing consistent with our Privacy Policy.
10A. Use of aggregated and anonymised Data
ReviseOnline may use de-identified, aggregated, or anonymised data to analyse usage patterns, generate insights, improve educational outcomes, and inform product development across the Platform. This information may also be used to produce statistical reports, benchmarking information, or general research findings. No individual or school can be personally identified from this data, and all processing is conducted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
10B. Cookies and tracking technology
ReviseOnline uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience, maintain session security, and analyse website performance. Details about these technologies and how you can control them are available in our Cookies Policy.
11. Service changes and availability
We may modify or enhance features to improve user experience.
If a significant change adversely affects a paid school subscription, schools may contact us to discuss options.
We are not liable for interruptions due to maintenance, security updates, or events beyond our control.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform and Content are provided for educational purposes only.
To the extent permitted by law, ReviseOnline excludes all implied warranties.
Where required by the ACL, our liability is limited to re-supplying the services or refunding the cost of supply.
We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or profit arising from use of the Platform.
Features using artificial intelligence or automated analytics are intended to assist learning, not replace professional judgment.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify ReviseOnline from any claims or losses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or your User-Generated Content, except where caused by ReviseOnline’s negligence.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if we reasonably suspect misuse or breach.
Upon termination, your license ends and access ceases. Clauses relating to intellectual property, privacy, liability and indemnity survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. If you are an international user, you agree that Western Australian law applies, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
16. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The revised version will be posted on our website with an updated ‘Last updated’ date.
We encourage users to review them regularly to stay informed about their rights and obligations.
17. CALCED and predictive analytics disclaimer
CALCED provides indicative academic performance projections using publicly available education authority data. These projections are estimates only and do not constitute official results, certification, or advice. ReviseOnline does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or future validity of any prediction or analysis generated by CALCED. Users should rely on official results and communications from the relevant authorities for verified information.
18. SELECTED school profiling disclaimer
Information displayed on the SELECTED website, including school profiles, fees, scholarships, programs, and extracurricular offerings, is provided for general information purposes only. ReviseOnline takes reasonable care to ensure accuracy, but details may change without notice and may rely on data from third parties. ReviseOnline does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of information published on SELECTED. Users should verify details directly with relevant schools or governing authorities before making decisions.
